Dates & Deadlines
Overview
Make sure you receive your funds in time to pay your semester tuition and fees — submit your financial aid applications by the appropriate deadlines!
Note: These dates and deadlines are for new students applying for the 2026-2027 academic year. If you still need to apply for 2025-2026 financial aid, please do so as soon as possible using the 2025-2026 CSS Profile and FAFSA or CADAA.
First-Year Students
October 1, 2025: CSS Application available
The College Scholarship Service (CSS) Profile application is available beginning October 1, 2025.
Fall 2025: FAFSA and CADAA available
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and California Dream Act application (CADAA) will be available in the fall. Check back for specific dates. Students should only complete one of the applications based on their eligibility (not both).
The California Dream Act Application (CADAA) allows undocumented students who meet certain criteria to apply for state grants. California students who meet the eligibility requirements should complete the CADAA if they are undocumented, if they have Temporary Protected Status (TPS), or if they are U Visa holders.
Note: Deadlines are accurate as of June 2025.
November 1, 2025: Early Decision financial aid deadline (Marshall School of Business programs only, excluding the World Bachelor in Business)
December 12, 2025: Early Action financial aid deadline
February 4, 2026: Regular Decision financial aid deadline
- Submit the CSS Profile application to determine your eligibility for university-based aid.
- Submit the FAFSA or CADAA application to determine your eligibility for federal and/or state aid.
March 2, 2026: Cal Grant deadline
California residents: Apply for Cal Grants by this date.
Transfer Students
October 1, 2025: CSS Application available

Submit the CSS Profile and FAFSA or CADAA by this date.
March 2, 2026: Cal Grant deadline
California residents: Submit the FAFSA or CADAA application and complete the necessary steps by this date to be considered for a Cal Grant.
