Dates & Deadlines

Overview

To receive your funds in time to pay your semester tuition and fees, you must be registered for classes and meet all disbursement requirements. Track the status of your funds in your FAST portal. Estimated disbursement dates for various types of financial aid are included below. Dates for the current semester can be found on the Office of Academic Records and Registrar website.

2026-2027 Academic Year

June 2026

Apply for your 2026-2027 Direct Loan and/or Graduate PLUS Loan, if eligible.

 

Mid-July 2026

Fall 2026 charges and USC scholarships and grants begin posting to student billing accounts.

August 14, 2026

Federal and state financial aid and/or loan funds begin posting to student billing accounts. You must meet all disbursement requirements and be registered for the fall 2026 semester.

August 19, 2026

Direct deposit of fall 2026 financial aid refunds begins for those whose financial aid exceeds their semester charges. Sign up for  direct deposit.

 

August 21, 2026

Fall 2026 payment deadline. Your student billing account must be paid in full to avoid late fees and finance charges. Track your account status by logging in to Experience USC or myUSC and selecting “USCe.pay/Current Billing Balance.”

August 24, 2026

First day of fall 2026 semester classes.

 

September 11, 2026

Last day for most students to add courses or drop courses with eligibility for a refund. To verify your add and drop deadlines, visit the Academic Calendar.

Last day to opt out of tuition refund insurance and to waive student health insurance.

 

October 1, 2026

FAFSA available for 2027-28 academic year. Check back for specific dates.

 

December 2026
