Dates & Deadlines

To receive your funds in time to pay your semester tuition and fees, you must be registered for classes and meet all disbursement requirements. Track the status of your funds in your FAST portal.

Estimated disbursement dates for various types of financial aid are included below. Dates for the current semester can be found on the Office of Academic Records and Registrar website.

June 2024: Direct Loan and or Parent PLUS Loan

Apply for your 2024-2025 Direct Loan and/or Parent PLUS Loan.

Mid-July 2024: Charges, scholarships and grants begin posting

Fall 2024 charges and USC scholarships and grants begin posting to student billing accounts.

August 16, 2024: Federal and state financial aid and/or loan funds begin posting

Federal and state financial aid and/or loan funds begin posting to student billing accounts. You must meet all disbursement requirements and be registered for the fall 2024 semester.

August 21, 2024: Direct deposit of fall 2024 financial aid refunds begins

Direct deposit of fall 2024 financial aid refunds begins for those whose financial aid exceeds their semester charges. Sign up for direct deposit.

August 23, 2024: Fall 2024 payment deadline

Your student billing account must be paid in full to avoid late fees and finance charges. Track your account status by logging in to OASIS or myUSC and selecting “USCe.pay/Current Billing Balance.”

August 23, 2024: Federal Work-Study Job Fair

August 26, 2024: First day of fall 2024 semester classes

September 13, 2024: Last day to add or drop classes for fall semester

Last day to add or drop classes without a grade of “W” for fall 2024 semester. Last day to opt out of tuition refund insurance and to waive student health insurance.

October 1, 2024: CSS Application available

CSS Profile available for the 2025-26 academic year.

Fall 2024: FAFSA and CADAA available

FAFSA available for 2025-26 academic year. Check back for specific dates.
