Template For Student Thank-You Message
Please use the template below and modify with information on your own circumstance to personalize your message:
Thank you for supporting Cal Grant students like myself, by preserving the Cal Grant award for new students who will attend a private nonprofit college or university. A 11.3 percent cut would have impacted low-income high school and transfer students set to attend a nonprofit college. It is crucial that my younger siblings, cousins, friends and neighbors have opportunities like I did to fulfill our higher education aspirations. To all our families, adequately funded state financial aid is essential to maintaining access to colleges and universities.
Thank you again for delaying the cut to the Cal Grant for two years. I hope that in two years' time, the state will support a permanent repeal of the 11.3 percent Cal Grant cut.
