Dates & Deadlines

Students should meet all published deadlines to ensure they receive their funds by the tuition payment deadline each semester.

Please refer to the Office of Academic Records and Registrar for a current calendar of relevant dates.

Estimated disbursement dates for various types of aid are included below.

June 2023

Apply for your 2023-2024 Direct Loan and/or Direct Grad PLUS Loan.

July 2023

Fall 2023 charges and USC scholarships and grants begin posting to student billing accounts. You must meet all disbursement requirements and be registered for the fall 2023 semester.

Federal and state financial aid and/or loan funds begin posting to student billing accounts. You must meet all disbursement requirements and be registered for the fall 2023 semester.

August 16, 2023

Direct deposit of fall 2023 financial aid refunds begins for those whose financial aid exceeds their semester charges. Sign up for direct deposit.

August 18, 2023

Your fall 2023 student billing account must be paid in full to avoid late fees and finance charges. Track your bill and payment status: Log in to OASIS or myUSC and select USCe.pay/Current Billing Balance.

August 18, 2023

Federal Work-Study Job Fair.

August 21, 2023

First day of fall 2023 semester classes.

September 8, 2023

Last day to add or drop classes without a grade of “W” (“Withdrawal”) for fall 2023 semester. Last day to opt out of tuition refund insurance and to waive the student health insurance.

December 2023

• FAFSA available for the 2024-2025 academic year.
• Spring 2024 charges and USC scholarships posting to student billing accounts. You must meet all disbursement requirements and be registered for the spring 2024 semester.
